We are proud supporters of the DKB Foundation. The DKB Foundation was created as an extension of Dave’s Killer Bread to promote Second Chance hiring when the applicant is the best fit for the job, regardless of criminal history. They’ve been hiring this way for many years, (in fact 1/3 of their employees have criminal records) and exist solely to equip and support businesses as they embrace the potential talent pool of those with criminal records.

At Occuscreen, we care about second chances and were honored to participate in the foundation’s Second Chance Tour. The Tour featured a series of workshops designed to engage Oregon employers about Second Chance Employment. At the event, Occuscreen presented a workshop, speaking to employers about background screening best practices.

Rose City Sing Off

Rose City Sing Off

Occuscreen is a proud sponsor of the Rose City Sing Off, a premiere a cappella competition for high school age students in the Pacific Northwest. The Rose City Sing-Off offers high school singers an ability to earn monetary awards as well as an opportunity to perform at the Rose Festival’s Queen’s Coronation prior to the Grand Floral Parade. Students learn from experienced singers and network with other schools throughout the area during this event.

Light the Night walks are a celebration of light to drive out the darkness of cancer. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer.
