Peter Mack |Founder and CEO
Peter founded Occuscreen in 1991, after working in Occupational Healthcare and seeing a need for cost-effective drug testing for employers. Soon employers were asking for services beyond drug screening, such as criminal background checks, DOT administration and occupational health services (physicals and vaccinations). From the very beginning, Occuscreen has been committed to providing excellent service while helping employers nationwide hire with confidence.
Peter also runs a northwest high school A ‘Capella competition (Rose City Sing Off), and volunteers for the Portland Rose Festival Foundation. In his spare time he runs the occasional marathon and drinks the occasional glass of wine. Peter has 3 kids and 4 grandkids who make him smile every day.

Pamela Mack | President
Pamela has been with Occuscreen from the beginning in 1991, supporting the business in any way necessary, and eventually moving into sales in 2006. Currently, Pam focuses on business development working with clients to optimize their background check and drug screening solutions. Pam is proud of the great culture at Occuscreen and encourages employees to have fun while providing clients with amazing service.
Pam served on the board of directors for the Portland Human Resource Management Association for 9 years, serving as President in 2015. She continues to volunteer with the organization by helping to plan the annual Strategic Management Conference and volunteering with the Workforce Readiness committee on an annual visit to Sheridan Federal Prison and additional workshops throughout the year.
Pam has been actively involved with Dave’s Killer Bread Second Chance DKB Foundation since 2017, and has been a member of the local Vistage executive leadership program since 2016. Outside of Occuscreen Pam likes walking, wine tasting, traveling and most of all, spending time with her 4 grandchildren.

Stefanie Klug | VP Operations
Stefanie joined Occuscreen in 2008, after spending several years working in customer service in the financial sector (specifically, banking and mortgage). Over the years, Stefanie had the opportunity to learn the processes involved in background and drug screening. Using this experience, Stefanie naturally transitioned into the role of Vice President in 2019. Stefanie enjoys working with the OccuTeam, focusing on providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring that each client is well taken care of while delivering first class background check and drug screening solutions. She also feels privileged to develop the team and foster our Everyday Awesome culture.
Stefanie enjoys volunteering with the SW Washington SHRM Chapter on the Membership Committee, and has been a member of the local Vistage key group since 2017. On the weekends you’ll find her exploring the Pacific NW’s finest hikes, city events and craft breweries with her husband and two young children, or bouncing from gym to gym cheering on her son’s basketball team.
Shelley Cooper | Director of Business Development
Shelley joined the Occuscreen team in October 2020. She brings over 25 years’ experience in various industries, including HR, Staffing and Recruitment, Retail and Healthcare. Shelley understands issues facing large and small businesses, and is skilled at identifying new business opportunities and developing partnerships strategically.
Shelley is an active networker and participates in various business groups including Portland Executives Association and ACG Portland, where she has served on the Board of Directors. In her time outside work, Shelley enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures, as well as RVing and exploring points of interest in the U.S. Being an empty-nester, she also spends a lot of time with her husband cooking, crafting cocktails, wine tasting, and spending ample time socializing with family and friends.
Lori Biddlecome | Operations Manager
Lori joined Occuscreen shortly after receiving her psychology and business degrees in 2013 from Western Oregon University. She worked in banking while attending college, honing her skills in customer service and attention to detail. Lori took on the role of Operations Manager ain 2019 and loves working collaboratively with her coworkers, creating amazing training programs for her team and building great relationships with our clients.
Lori travels whenever she has the chance (her recent trips to Spain and Scotland top her list of favorites), and never misses the chance to enjoy a comedy show. She also enjoys her border collie named Sophie, and between all of her adventures even finds the time to volunteer with the Rose City Sing Off, a Portland A Capella competition.
Julie Gaylor | Drug Screen and Occ Med Department Manager
Julie has been with Occuscreen since 2009 and manages the Occupational Health & Drug Screening Department. Her background in training and developing teams and extensive Human Resources experience, has helped her to create and lead an efficient team at Occuscreen. She earned her Professional in Human Resource (PHR) Certification in 2008.
Julie has volunteered with many different organizations including SOLVE, Fruit Valley Elementary School Motor Skills program, Oregon Culinary Institute, Battle Ground School District Career & Technical Advisory Committee and most recently the Rose City Sing Off and as a judge for the Portland Rose Festival Court.
Julie loves to travel and learn about other cultures. Ireland has been a favorite trip to date, although Europe is next on the list. She loves the ocean and spends time on the beach every chance she gets. Julie has also spent the last 30+ years parenting Chinese Pug dogs.
